With over 36 years of dedicated clinical experience, I have had the privilege of helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's most complex challenges. Since graduating from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work in 1988, I have built my practice on a foundation of warmth, respect, and genuine connection.

My approach begins with creating a space where you feel truly comfortable and heard. From there, we work together to identify the stressors and needs that brought you to therapy, and we build a personalized plan to address them. I believe that everyone is doing their best, and that with the right support, meaningful change is possible.

I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities to find what works best for you. Because no two people are alike, I incorporate techniques from Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Hypnotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Strength-Based approaches, and Structural Family Therapy. As I often tell my clients: "It is really about what works to help you the most."

I am passionate about helping people develop their own personal support team and discover creative, healing solutions to the challenges they face. Whether you are working through relationship difficulties, supporting a child with special needs, managing anxiety or depression, or navigating a major life transition, I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Out-of-Network Benefits

Even if your insurance plan is not listed above, you may still have out-of-network benefits that can help cover the cost of therapy. This means your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of each session after you pay upfront. I can provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Contact your insurance company and ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits to find out what you may be eligible for.

Not Sure If Your Insurance Covers Therapy?

Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask these questions:

1

“Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?”

2

“What is my deductible for outpatient mental health?”

3

“What percentage do you reimburse after the deductible?”

4

“Is there a limit on the number of sessions per year?”

Tip: Ask for a reference number for the call. Amanda can provide a superbill (detailed receipt) for you to submit for reimbursement.

Yes, I offer secure telehealth (video) sessions for clients located in New Jersey and New York. Telehealth provides the same quality therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
